A rare sight and one that always fills me with joy.
The Grey Partridge (Perdix perdix) is one of the UK's most cherished farmland birds — and one of its most threatened. Spotting a covey on the estate is always a moment to pause and appreciate the careful land stewardship that makes such sightings possible.
